Vintage French Maille Mustard Pots Caddy Set 7 pc

Wooden Maille Bistro caddy with 3 pots & original lids and stir spoons. Three ceramic mustard (moutarde) pots with lids – in green, brown and mustard yellow. Wooden stir spoons in each pot. History: Maille is a famous French mustard & pickle company. Founded in 1747, it became the official vinegar supplier to the King of France in 1769. M ustard pots are traditional French wedding presents and you can still bring your own little pot to shops like Maille in Paris for a refill. Bistro style wood caddy is impressed at base: Qui maille. 1747 Maille. Back stamp on all reads: Made in France. Ce pot etant ma propriete ne peut contenir que mon produit. Size: 2½” diameter x 4¼” high (6 x 11 cm) Condition : Vintage, unknown age, probably the 50’s-60’s.  Normal wear and tear and some small chips at the bottom.  Some paint has worn off the tip of the wooden spoon handles and wooden lids.

Vintage bistro mosterdset van het beroemde Franse mosterdmerk Maille.  Bestaat uit een houten houder en 3 porseleinen potjes met de originele houten deksels en lepeltjes. Leeftijd onbekend, maar ergens uit de jaren 50-60. Normale slijtage aan de buitenkant en een paar kleine chips aan de onderkant van de potjes. Houten deksels en houten lepeltjes hebben wat verf beschadigingen. Potjes zijn op aan de onderkant gestempeld met: Qui maille. 1747 Maille. Made in France.
